Royal Decree 933/2021 of 26 October 2024 entered into force on 2 December 2024. This Royal Decree establishes the documentary registration and information obligations of natural or legal persons carrying out accommodation activities.

Processing of personal data.

1. The personal data generated in execution of the provisions of this Royal Decree shall be kept, depending on the activity, in two files located in the Secretariat of State for Security. Their processing may only be carried out by the Security Forces and Corps in the performance of their respective powers in the sphere of prevention, detection and investigation of crime assigned to them. Likewise, in the exercise of their respective powers, the judicial authority and the Public Prosecutor’s Office shall have access to them.
2. In the configuration of these files, special relevance shall be given to the possibility of interconnection with other police databases for the purpose of improving effectiveness in the prevention and investigation of terrorist offences or those related to serious organised crime.
3. The processing of personal data derived from the execution of this Royal Decree will be carried out in accordance with Organic Law 7/2021, of 26 May, on the protection of personal data processed for the purposes of the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of criminal offences and the execution of criminal penalties.
